Biography
Dr. Ying-Yong Zhao (PhD, MD) is professor at Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Northwest University in China. Zhao is interested in oxidative stress, inflammation, and pro-fibrotic pathways of chronic kidney disease and tubulo-interstitial diseases, molecular biology of kidney gene expression and therapeutic effect of natural medicines by pharmacology, metabolomics and lipidomics. He is a reviewer of more than 30 famous international journals including Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, Journal of Chromatography A, Clinica Chimica Acta, Disease Markers and Molecular Biosystems in the area of pharmacology, metabolomics and lipidomics studies. He serves as more than 10 international journal of editorial board member or editor. Zhao has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. He received several awards including National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award, New Century Excellent Talents in University, Sanofi Young biological drugs Award and Fifteenth SERVIER Youth Pharmacology Award.
